Mickmo said he had this dark little tale "just laying around," and had not published it anywhere yet. And in a personal note me he wrote, "And seeing as you like cold horror stories anyway, you may get a kick out of this one!" Mickmo based this story loosely on John Wayne Gacy. Mickmo drew the story while listening to Cannibal Corpse and Exhumed. He completed this story in between Bug-Slayer #2 and #3.
